Christmas Carol Service 2013
On the 20th of December 2013 1st Little Stoke Scouts held our annual carol service. This is a great opportunity for parents and friends to join us for the last Scouting night before Christmas.
As is tradition, all of our sections take a small part of the service. This year the Beavers sang the Rocking Carol and the Cubs ‘See him lying on a bed of hay’. The Scouts performed the Readings and provided musical accompaniment on the drums and electric guitar.
During the service several of our leaders and helpers were recognised with adult awards which were presented by the County Commissioner. Michael and Brian were awarded the ‘Award for Merit’, Tristan received ‘The Chief Scout’s Commendation for Good Service’ and Rob was presented with his Wood Beads.
A special thank you to the organisers and to all those who attended.
The Leaders would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
