Carol Service – Dec 2014

6 December 2014

On the Friday the 5th of December we celebrated the start of the Christmas season with our annual Carol Service at Christ the King Church in Bradley Stoke.

This year the service was loosely themed around the Christmas Day Football match between the German and English soldiers in no-mans land during the First World War.

To start the service the Scouts sang the carol Silent Night in German. In between carols and readings the Beavers singing Jingle Bells followed by the Cubs, who recited a poem, than sang the Christmas classic ‘When Santa Got Stuck up the Chimney’. It was also a chance for the 1st little Stoke ‘4 tenors’ to unite for one night only, singing ‘Let It Snow’.

The evening was rounded off with coffee and mince pies.

We would like to thank all those who helped to organise the carol service and all of the parents and young people who attended.
